The Duca Colonna villa is the property of the Colonna di Paliano family since the XIX century and still property of the Massimo family. It’s been the summer time residence of Don Prospero Colonna, Duke of Rignano and Price of Sonnino, governor and mayor of Rome since the XX century.
The central area of the farm, which is composed both of the master’s villa and the several dairy-farms, has been safeguarded from the end century building speculation. The gardens, the avenues, the plants and the buildings, they all have been restored. At the moment the dairy-farms are inhabited by the Duca Oddone Colonna’s ancestors and a few private citizens. There is always a caretaker in the case of any emergency and for privacy matters.
The estate, which extends over a four hectare enclosed land, is provided with a tennis court. It’s a natural oasis of peacefulness despite of its location inside Rome’s urban area where the ring road is. The Duca Colonna Villa, which has been built since the XIX century, has been finely restored and furnished and it’s just the ideal guest house for senior staff and/or agency or bank guests. The building is divided into two levels including an attic, for a total of about 280 square metres plus a 3000 square metre private italian garden. A 30.000 square metre co-owned garden is at the guest’s disposal besides a private parking lot, a tennis court and a small consecrated church. The villa is the ideal place for meetings, weddings and ceremonies.
The very bright villa is fully restored with new plants respecting the archaeological obligations. It’s composed of 5 finely furnished double bedrooms, four bathrooms, splendid living room and dining area with fireplace and frescos, kitchen provided with new household appliance, heater, electric gate with entry phone. The bus stop, which takes you to the subway station ( about 900 metres from the villa ), is located just in front of the structure while a big mall with a super market and a cinema is about 500 metres far.
