Spectacular castle built at the end of the 800s in the neo-Gothic style, at the original residence of the Patrician family of Cardinal Silj. The property is located on the outskirts of Rome and is situated in an area that in ancient times was part of one of the most famous residences of the imperial Roman era, built by the wife of the Emperor Augustus, Livia Drusilla. In the Middle Ages the land was donated by the popes to the Patrician family Silj. The areas with beautiful frescos and mosaics were created in 1863. Today the Silj Castle is a unique location for events and ceremonies thanks to the huge private park that surrounds it.
